Lisa, it's a joke, see here's how it goes.

The British spelling of many of our words often turn an 'o' to 'ou.' Like, "colour," or "armour."

Jill said "soulless," and I think Carlos was jokingly suggesting that to be a British spelling of the American "solless," when in actuality both regions spell it the same.
