All right, so O-Week is really fucking busy. But I'm all matriculated and my group is pretty good but one of my advisors is pretty annoying and I'm on the Cloud 9 listserve and tomorrow me and all the other freshmen get our IDs and we played dodgeball and hey it's a good time!!!1

And I passed my Comp Exam (40% failed). LP, baby! Yeah, I wrote my essays just slightly informally and with a little attitude, which the graders didn't like. Oh, and some structure issues, too. They apparently didn't think my title for the summary essay was funny, Alex... there was a comment on the final rubric about it, too.

What does the "L" in "LP" mean? I know that Leigh Anne and Trevor and I got "HP," and that means "HIGH Pass," so I can only assume that the "P" in "LP" means "Pass," also, which is great! But what does the "L" mean? Please take some time in writing your response to this question, because I'd like it to be somewhat coherent unlike that piece of shit you call an essay that you sent into Rice.

Just kidding, by the way . . . I DO know what the "L" means.

Pretty good burn - I thought you were apologizing, but then you switched it around on me, you tricky bastard! So, not my best writing, but this test was pretty rough for the incoming class.

In the past, HP/LP/F rates weren't just straight thirds. The year you took it, Alex, only like 17% or 20% failed. The breakdown for this year's scores are like 35%* Fail, 50% Low Pass (my score), and 15% [High] Pass.

Maybe jacking around/being busy the whole weekend I was supposed to write my two essays hurt my score, maybe not. But whatever, no ENGL 103 for me.
woooo!

*stat is different than before because I read an article in the Thresher about it today

So, last night Patrick Foreskin Kelly and I had the following conversation:

P4trick: "The trip to Galveston was really fun. Did you check the forum?"

Me: "No."

P4trick: "Oh, well I posted about it on there."

. . . so I go on the forum and your post is:

"oh yeah, and the trip to Galveston today was pretty fucking fun."

Thanks.
