If you read through this board, you will probably find violations of the ForumWise Terms of Service. However, I don't believe that the TWHS '05 Fourm deserves to be shut down.
All members who are permitted to view the threads with offensive material are close friends of mine. As you may guess, we are all friends from high school and each one of us knows every other one of us very well. Our sense of humor is very "offensive" in the sense that it certainly contains profanity, excessive sexual references, and ethnic slurs, but I assure you that we speak with such befouled language all the time when together, and harm is rarely done, and never meant.
I created this forum for the nearly exclusive purpose of providing an outlet for my and my friends' variety of often offensive humor. Communicating accross the internet is the most feasible way for us all to stay close, and other outlets for his cannot meet our need so adequately as a forum. The Facebook, an online college student community, allows us to "keep in touch," but material posted on that site is viewable by many more people than just one's close friends, and so my friends and I generally hesitate to post what would normally be our "true" comments. We do make strides to not expose our offensiveness to someone who is not warned beforehand.
I realize that this forum is in violation on several counts, but I would like to stress that we are hurting no one by having it.
If, however, you do decide to shut down this forum, I ask you to please contact me beforehand so that I may work with you to back up these pages as I look for somewhere else to host my and my friends' community.
